For some people, Earth Day is best spent outside with neighbors, doing what we can to make our environment cleaner and healthier. If this describes you, then we have the perfect Earth Day event planned.

Please join us at Nathanson Creek Preserve — a .75-mile-long area of Nathanson Creek behind two public schools near downtown Sonoma — for our Earth Day cleanup event. Volunteers will meet at the Preserve’s Demonstration Garden, located at the intersection of East MacArthur and 2nd St. East in Sonoma. Snacks will be provided, but bring a water bottle and pack a lunch if needed. Please wear closed-toed shoes, dress in layers and bring a hat for the sun.

A parallel Earth Day cleanup event will also be held for Fryer Creek, with volunteers meeting behind the Safeway off of 5th St. West and West Napa Road. Same rules and times apply for both events.
