Sonoma Ecology Center’s annual Harvest Festival is a joyful, family-friendly gathering that brings our community together in one of Sonoma’s most beloved green spaces. The Harvest Festival is held at Sonoma Garden Park, a community garden and public oasis just a few minutes from downtown Sonoma, stewarded by Sonoma Ecology Center. The festival features a full day of local music, hands-on workshops, kid-friendly activities and farm games, delicious local food and beverages, a pickle-making competition, and immersive nature experiences for all ages.
We know there are many fermentation wizards among us, so for our culinary contest this year we’ve decided to feature a Sonoma Garden Park favorite—quick pickles!

We’re looking for poets to read on the Harvest Festival stage from 10:00-11:00 am for the Poetry Pop-Up!
The theme is “A Garden Grows,” which can be loosely interpreted to include anything related to agriculture or gardening, from bugs to tractors, apples to zinnias!
Submissions are open to all Sonoma Valley students, grades k-12! Send students’ poems with the email subject: Festival Poetry Pop-Up to julia@sonomaecologycenter.org
